DASH & Greeter Program 2026 - End of Season Update

7 Oct 2026 1:03 PM | Jerremy Jones (Administrator)

Beginning in mid-June, the DASH team started hand-pulling milfoil in less dense areas, and started full DASH operations after the 4th of July weekend.

This year, the team worked in 12 areas, covering approximately 25 acres. They harvested and removed 586 17.5 gallon buckets of milfoil from the lake. They also hand-pulled all of the Water Chestnut that was discovered in the Channel in late August.

Thank you to Beck and his DASH team for their great work this season!

The Greeter Program kicked off over Memorial Day weekend, and ran through Labor Day weekend. Greeters inspected boats entering and exiting the lake, looking for aquatic invasive species (AIS), and removing them if found. In total, our Greeters worked 760 hours for the program this year (including yearly training). They greeted 1,466 vessels, and inspected 1,291.

Thank you to our Greeter Coordinator Missy and her Greeter team for their work to keep LSC safe from invasives!
